Melissa Rincen (51 years), was traveling by a plane from London to Honduras, when this photo was taken from the plane window over the Caribbean Sea.

Rincen also said "I noticed how shadows were cast on the Caribbean and thought it was such a beautiful scene I had to snap some shots. "When I saw the rainbow in the shot I was stunned - I'd never experienced anything like it and I doubt I ever will again."

Unbelievable Photo of Palestine Before 1917 Appeared in The New York Tribune Journal

A rare picture of the map of Palestine in the New York Tribune journal on June 17, 1917 in which appear the Greater Syria, the Levant and Palestine, at that time there were not some known states, including Saudi Arabia, which established the name of the al-Saud family and many others from United Arab Emirates and the Arab states which appeared post-colonial but it was, as is evident in the new Arab state map and historical Syria and Palestine.

In 1917, New York Tribune contributor Isaac Don Levine heralded the birth of a new nation. Its name was Palestine, but it was very much the nation of Israel that would come to be some three decades later, albeit with more audacious borders extending well into South Lebanon. It's no news for our readers that Israel used to be labelled Palestine on the world map, but the way Levine wrote about it is what catches our attention her.

Yom Kippur, The Day of Israel's Empty Streets From Cars

Each year, all cars, airplanes, trains and all public transportation stop moving and goes off the road all over Israel for twenty-four hours in celebration of the holiest day of the year for the Jewish people,Yom Kippur,יום כיפור , also known as Day of Atonement - In this day no music plays over the radio, television stops broadcasting, and all shops and businesses remain shut down. For one day, Israel resembles a scene from a post apocalypse movie.

Throughout the country, air pollution plummets a whopping 99% -  in some places nearly eliminating the presence of nitrogen oxides, a prominent contaminant in motor vehicle emissions. The air smells good, the visibility gets better and the distant roar of traffic is comfortably absent. Residents take advantage of this day and goes out for walks along the empty city streets. Some take out their bicycles, roller blades and skateboards. The dramatic decline of pollution on Yom Kippur indicates just how polluted the air is the rest of the year.

Brazilian Women-Only-Town Noiva do Cordeiro Asks For Marriage

The approximately 600 women in the Brazilian town of Noiva do Cordeiro - mostly aged between 20 and 25 - are saying no to marriage, baptism and any rules made by men. The beautiful women of the town are making headlines with their appeal for single men.

"Here, the only men we single girls meet are either married or related to us; everyone is a cousin. I haven't kissed a man for a long time. We all dream of falling in love and getting married," Nelma Fernandes, 23, said.

However, for men to win their hearts, they need to accept their strong conviction that is rooted in the town's history.

Noiva de Cordeiro means Bride of the Lamb. A woman, Maria Senhorinha de Lima, fled to the then nameless town as she was being ostracised for being an adulteress. Delina Fernandes Pereira, one of her grandchildren, is presently living in the town and had became controversial for being married to a pastor at the very young age of 16.

Heavy Lift Ships and their Impossibly Massive Cargoes

When you need to transport large cargo, goods, and materials from one place to another, ship is the ideal choice even though they are extremely slow. Thousands of cargo carriers ply the world's seas and oceans each year, and they handle the bulk of international trade. Then there are heavy lift ships that are designed to carry excessively large loads that even cargo ships cannot bear, such as other ships, drilling rigs or anything else too large or heavy to be easily transported on a conventional ship.

Heavy lift ships are of two types: semi-submerging capable of lifting another ship out of the water and transporting it; and vessels that augment unloading facilities at inadequately equipped ports. Semi-submerging are more commonly known as a "flo/flo" for float-on/float-off. These vessels have a long and low well deck that can go down under water allowing oil platforms, other vessels, or other floating cargo to be moved into position for loading. The tanks are then pumped out, and the well deck rises higher in the water, lifting its cargo, and is ready to sail wherever in the world the cargo needs to be transported.
